Live It Out
For a pessimist, I'm pretty optimistic.

I’ve been in a weird funk lately. Wasn’t too excited about the holidays and I find myself dragging my feet today on new years eve. It could be because I’m under the weather. But it also could be because I’m being too hard on myself. The other day I was driving and trying to think of something good I did this year. I couldn’t for about thirty minutes. So here I am, trying this again.

I went on my first vacation, to Cancun, with Zachary and his family at the end of may, for a week.

I graduated Stockton College with a BA in Communication Studies on December 18, 2011. It finished a semester earlier than the average four years.

I braved getting my wisdom teeth pulled, while still awake, despite my ridiculous fear of surgeries and doctors.

I know I did a billion other things this year, but I also know something else. I didn’t make a difference. I always tell myself I’m going to make a difference in people’s lives somehow, and I didn’t do that this year. I can do better.

In 2012, I will do better. I will not only help my mom, but others around me, strangers even. I will find a job. I will save money. I’ll do everything I’m suppose to, but I’ll do more. I’ll volunteer. I’ll donate when I can. I’ll help someone in need. I’ll be nicer to the people I don’t always understand or agree with. I’ll make a difference in 2012.
